World Future Energy Summit

My Google Alerts is focused on finding articles about renewable energy. The most common hits are about the World Future Energy Summit that is currently taking place in Abu Dhabi. This summit is very important this year for America since Iran is threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz, which will cause oil imports to plummet and prices to greatly increase. According to a recent poll, eighty-five percent of Americans are concerned about energy security. Many are concerned that the lack of energy supply will eventually cause international conflicts and possibly wars. Americans want the energy companies to use more alternative methods to supply their energy. The UN Secretary General wants to double the world’s use of renewable energy by 2030. If world powers such as the United States, China, and many of the European countries, focus on investing in renewable energy, then we can double the use of renewable energy by 2020 hopefully.
